Dear Neighbor:

    I am honored and grateful to the people of the 39th District for the resounding victory on Tuesday, November 7.  It is an honor to serve you in the Illinois State Senate, and I look forward to representing you in Springfield for another term.

    I ran a positive, issues-based, campaign for re-election, and I am pleased the voters saw through the negativity to recognize our many policy successes over the past four years.  We have done so much, and yet much remains to be done.   I intend to continue a progressive agenda expanding educational opportunities for our children, improving access to affordable health care, increasing the minimum wage, and creating new economic opportunities for our communites.  

    Thank you again, for your support and for your vote of confidence.  It is my honor to serve you in the Illinois Senate.  Now, it's back to work.
