Uniting the residents of the 39th Distirct

Senator Don Harmon on uniting the residents of the 39th District.

"The 39th District requires a representative who can be independent and progressive.  I represent 210,000 people, of all shapes and stripes, from Austin to Bensenville, from Oak Park to Franklin Park .  I have no intention of engaging in a campaign that divides this district based on race, religion, ethnicity, geography, sexual orientation, or even political preference.  When it comes to serving the communities I represent, I feel duty-bound to serve all the people, not just the ones who vote for me.  Over the next year, as I campaign for re-election, I’m going to focus on the things that unite the people of the 39th Legislative District.  I don’t subscribe to a jaded politics of divisiveness that trades the support of one group of constituents for another."
